Terms of Use

Terms for the trail.

Last updated September 2, 2026. By creating an account or using The Living Ascent Protocol (“LAP”), you agree to these terms.

What LAP is

LAP is a personal-development and self-reflection framework designed to help users organize goals, habits, setbacks, progress, and next actions across multiple areas of life.

LAP, the Vitality Workspace, Vitality Briefs, and Ask LAP are not medical care, psychotherapy, legal advice, financial advice, emergency services, or a substitute for qualified professional support.

Vitality health information and AI analysis

The Vitality Workspace can organize health measurements, laboratory or hormone results, body-composition information, sleep information, wearable trends, diet and exercise logs, and other information you choose to enter. AI-generated Vitality Briefs can help explain information, identify patterns and missing context, suggest questions, and propose a next step.

Vitality analyses can be incomplete or wrong and do not establish a diagnosis. Do not use LAP to start, stop, or change prescription medications or hormone treatment without appropriate qualified care. Consumer wearable estimates should not be treated as equivalent to validated diagnostic testing.

If results, symptoms, or circumstances suggest a possible emergency or urgent medical issue, seek appropriate professional or emergency care rather than relying on a LAP analysis.

Ask LAP and AI-generated content

Ask LAP uses artificial intelligence to generate responses from information you provide and your saved ascent context. AI can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular situation. You remain responsible for evaluating suggestions before acting on them.

If you are facing an emergency, immediate danger, possible self-harm, overdose, severe withdrawal, abuse, or another urgent medical or safety issue, use appropriate emergency or crisis resources rather than relying on LAP.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity performed through your account. Use a unique password and do not share access with others.

You must provide an email address you are authorized to use. Automated, fraudulent, abusive, or spam accounts may be limited or removed.

Acceptable use

You may not use LAP to interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, probe or bypass security controls, distribute malware, impersonate others, violate law, or use the service in a way that materially harms other people or the platform.

Your content

You retain responsibility for information you enter into LAP. You grant the service only the rights reasonably necessary to store, transmit, process, and display that information in order to provide the features you request.

Do not enter information that you do not have the right to provide or information about another person that would violate their privacy or rights.

Privacy and deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, ascent, Vitality, and Ask LAP data are handled. Signed-in users can export their data or permanently delete their LAP account from Account & Privacy.

Availability and changes

LAP is an evolving service. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We may update these terms when the product, laws, or operating requirements change.

No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, LAP is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without guarantees that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, LAP and its operators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Children

LAP is not intended for children under 13. Users below the age of majority where they live should use LAP only with appropriate parent or guardian involvement and consent.
